#07 - What was the inspiration behind the video for Dare to Dream?
After writing the track and hearing the final product me and Nathanael (pianist) knew we needed to create a video. I think the sole inspiration for the video came from actually sitting down and just listening to the words of the song. Dare to dream wasn’t directed to just one person, it was made for anyone and everyone and we needed to find a way to capture and portray that.
When we started scripting we had so many different ideas for the video. Different ideas on locations, objects, characters, etc. but one thing that my mind kept on going back to was my own journey through music, and how there has been so many times I myself have wanted to give up. I believe that this is where some of the inspiration for the video came from.
Last month I had the pleasure of travelling to Leicester to record a session with RTTV before a little bit of site seeing! This is on of the songs we recorded that day. One of my favourite songs by Lianne La Havas.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... This is just a quick post to announce that the official music video for Dare To Dream will be out on Saturday 21st June! I am sooooo excited to share this with you and really hope you all see the message and story behind it.
Its been a long process, but extremely worth it, and I'm so grateful for all those that have been working with me behind the scenes.
Stay tuned for 21st June!

#06 - What are your songs and music about?
When it comes to my music I like to write about anything and everything. From day-to-day reality to fairytales and dreams. Although I write about many things, I don't share all of these things. There are sooo many different songs that I've written and recorded from years back and still haven't shared or promoted as a release. I think that if I shared ALL of my music, people would become quite confused!
The music that I tend to share mainly talks about feelings, experiences, and emotions, things that real people can relate to.
Many of you know me for my acoustic material and others for my live band performances. In the next few months I will be showing the softer side to my music and releasing material from my Piano Series compilation. This compilation will also include the single "Dare to Dream" which was jointly composed by myself and a great pianist and musician, Nathanael Watson. Stay Tuned!!
#05 - "What was your most embarrassing moment on stage?"
so I'm not quite sure what persuaded me to try and introduce the second song. Anyway, I opened my mouth and said “The next song is…” and could feel my facial expression change into a completely puzzled look before saying a very long "eeeerrrrrrmmmmmmm...." - VERY embarrassing not knowing the name of your own song!
"Where Did You Go?" has climbed up to a leading total of 1624 plays.
"Can't I just?" is climbing too at 1238 plays.
On the other hand, "Travellin" has been quite far behind and started with 720 plays last but has only reached a total of 775 plays this week. Get playing guys and share away!
If you want to know more information on how you can get involved email email@example.com with the subject "Get Involved".
I have to say the event was the cosiest night I've been to so far. Each performer received two complimentary drinks from the bar as well as a beautiful audience to play to. Gabriel, the host, is also very talented himself!
For all you acoustic ladies and fellas, if your looking for a friendly place to share your music I would suggest you get in touch with Gabriel and book yourself in!
