I'm on pause
Please say that you will wait For me You will see me again Just not sure when It's not been easy I've tried to balance everything else everyone else around you But this balance is unequal and unstable impossible to do So dear music, my music I'm on pause will you wait? For me to work things out will you leave? please stay wait for me to get back to you Love from Greyce
Last month I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely handful of people at Hype HQ who run the Unity Radio Online station. After a pleasant introduction and then a few laughs with Unity Radio's cheerful Drifty, we got down to business and discussed music and all things related!
Don't just take my world for it, see and hear for yourself here: #07 - What was the inspiration behind the video for Dare to Dream? After writing the track and hearing the final product me and Nathanael (pianist) knew we needed to create a video. I think the sole inspiration for the video came from actually sitting down and just listening to the words of the song. Dare to dream wasn’t directed to just one person, it was made for anyone and everyone and we needed to find a way to capture and portray that.
Last month I had the pleasure of travelling to Leicester to record a session with RTTV before a little bit of site seeing! This is on of the songs we recorded that day. One of my favourite songs by Lianne La Havas.
Enjoy! #06 - What are your songs and music about? When it comes to my music I like to write about anything and everything. From day-to-day reality to fairytales and dreams. Although I write about many things, I don't share all of these things. There are sooo many different songs that I've written and recorded from years back and still haven't shared or promoted as a release. I think that if I shared ALL of my music, people would become quite confused!
The music that I tend to share mainly talks about feelings, experiences, and emotions, things that real people can relate to. On Saturday 21st June I'll be supporting Owls of the Swamp for a concert at Christ Church in Marlow. I really can't wait as I'm very fond of his music! See the event here. Owls of The Swamp There’s a sense of searching and mystery nestled in the music of Owls of the Swamp, the atmospheric indie-folk project of Australian singer-songwriter, Pete Uhlenbruch. His album ATLAS (released 06 May) ignites the never-ending desire to better understand one’s expanding environment. ATLAS offers a friendly and internal comfort for those carrying the weight of the world upon their shoulders, especially for those in search of a place to call home. Make sure you check out Owls of the Swamp on soundcloud. |
