On Saturday 21st June I'll be supporting Owls of the Swamp for a concert at Christ Church in Marlow. I really can't wait as I'm very fond of his music! See the event here.

Owls of The Swamp
There’s a sense of searching and mystery nestled in the music of Owls of the Swamp, the atmospheric indie-folk project of Australian singer-songwriter, Pete Uhlenbruch.

His  album ATLAS  (released 06 May) ignites the never-ending desire to better understand one’s expanding environment. ATLAS offers a friendly and internal comfort for those carrying the weight of the world upon their shoulders, especially for those in search of a place to call home.

Make sure you check out Owls of the Swamp on soundcloud.

Challenge 1000+

Guess what! I have a bundle of new material to release on Soundcloud, BUT... I've decided that I won't be releasing my new sounds until EACH of the currently uploaded tracks  receive at least 1000 plays each!

I posted this message on Twitter and Facebook last week and was extremely surprised by the amazing result:

"Where Did You Go?" has climbed up to a leading total of 1624 plays.
"Can't I just?" is climbing too at 1238 plays.

On the other hand, "Travellin" has been quite far behind and started with 720 plays last but has only reached a  total of 775 plays this week. Get playing guys and share away!

That Peaceful Place..

In the first edition of Question Time I was asked about my EP, Acoustic Emotions. I introduced the journey of the EP briefly  and announced that I would be talking more about each of individual track at a later time, and the time is now!
Last but not least "Home"
Home is about finding that special place where you are comfortable being you, the place where you belong and feel secure. Though the word "home" is thought of as a building or structure, I believe I've found my true home in some of the friendships I hold and the people I've met. What do you class as your home?

The Loss Of A Life

Second up is "Where Did You Go?"
As a youngster I often heard the saying "life isn't a promise you know" but to me, it was only a phrase that adults would say to  children if they misbehaved or were crossing the roads carelessly. I didn't know that the true meaning behind it was  a  warning to us that though life could be perfect one day, it could be gone the next. And though you may be young and have a bright future ahead of you, it could be taken away at the blink of an eye. This song is a question asking where did the person who I thought would be there forever go. "Where Did You Go?"

The Stuggle To Depart

First up is "Can't I Just?"
"Can't I Just?" gets into the character of a person who feels like they've been placed in a box. Not physically, but by being emotionally tied down by another person's perception of what and how they should be. The character is pleading  for the permission to live, breathe, and think on their own.
